Nexus Plumbing covers Kumeu for plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying: repairs, hot water, blocked drains and renovation work. Certifying tradespeople, upfront pricing, and no call-out surprises.
Kumeū is tank water country, and that changes how you find a leak. There is no meter to watch, so the first evidence is usually the pump: it keeps cycling with every tap in the house closed, and the power bill climbs. That does mean water is going somewhere, but not always underground. We have had one that came down to an outside hose tap left open with the hose still screwed on, running quietly into the ground metres away. Worth walking the outside taps before anyone pays for leak detection.

From our job book
On tank supply the water that reaches your tap is only as good as what it has passed through, and filtration is the part people inherit rather than choose. Most of the systems we open out here have cartridges that were last changed by a previous owner, and by then they are doing less than nothing, because a blocked cartridge drops your pressure as well. Changing them is a ten minute job you can do yourself once someone has shown you which way the housing turns. We will show you rather than book a visit for it every six months.
Straight answers
No call-out fee. Kumeu sits outside our standard area, so there is a $40 travel fee charged once for the visit rather than by the hour. Everything else is the ordinary rate, billed in fifteen minute increments after the first hour.
Usually, yes. We work across Auckland every day, and Kumeu is on the round regularly rather than being a special trip. For a burst pipe or no water at all, ring rather than fill in the form, and we will tell you on the phone whether we can be there today instead of booking you in and leaving you waiting.
Yes, all three. Everything we do in Kumeu can be signed off, and the paperwork stands up for a council inspection, an insurer or a property manager. Our rates are published in full on the rates page rather than quoted on the day.
